A few nights ago I was watching the famous John Wick saga. Yes, I know; it’s certainly not a movie with an extraordinary commitment but, after 3 nights spent watching the whole saga I thought and realized that John Wick left me something good.

In 3 films of that saga, in addition to punches and shootings, it is easy to notice a constant.
A feature of the character that, in my opinion, makes beautiful that saga. I’m talking about Patience.

Today we are increasingly set in a state of mind of: “run, rabbit, run”. As a famous song by Eminem used to say. We run every day, we are always in a hurry, we are always full of commitments, schedules, trains to take, goals to achieve, things to finish.
But, in all of this, we never have time to stop and relax. I’m talking about mental, not physical relaxation. Physical health is only a consequence (in this case of course).

Besides, we’re in a hurry for everything. To finish high school, to finish college, to work and still work, to earn more money from that and have more likes on Instagram than that other one. We are in a hurry to be better than someone else but never better than ourselves.

We are in a hurry to become someone, to train more than your friend. We are in a perennial competition; do you ever think about it?
We are in a state of mind of “I have to run, I have to graduate first, I have to work more than that, I have to be better than him”… but nobody wants to be better than himself?

This is a fast world I know. Life is short I know. The competition is good I know. But as in all things in life, too much hurts.
We should have a little more patience in the face of obstacles, in work, in everyday life situations, to achieve a goal.
Why exactly; we frem for a goal but as soon as we see that it is not easy to reach it, we get tired and move on to the next.
So, I believe that patience, measured and calibrated with our person, is the strongest weapon we have.

You have to be patient.
